We enter the new campaign with three new managers at Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Bournemouth. Here are my two personal favourites to get the sack…
Ange Postecoglou
⚪️It may come as surprise to some people that Tottenham Hotspur’s new manager Ange Postecoglou is the bookies favourite to be shown the door first! The Australian came in from a successful spell at Celtic.
It’s not hard to see why all eyes are on the new Tottenham manager, a club that has failed to live up to expectations since the departure of now Chelsea manager Pochettino back in 2019. Also, Postecoglou has an unproven record after spending time in Australia and Japan before landing the job at Celtic – we all know the step up in competition in the Premier League.
David Moyes
⚒️The other manager on my list who could be shown the door quickly in the new season is West Ham boss David Moyes.
Let’s be honest here, he’s only still in the job because of his European cup success last season. Which, by all means is a great achievement, but how long will that last with the West Ham fans if domestic results are a repeat of last season.
There has been real activity in the transfer market for West Ham and if they want to have a successful run in the Europa League but also finish in a respectable position in the league, new to strengthen and improve the squad depth.
With the departure of captain Declan Rice to Arsenal, I feel that Moyes is going to be used a scapegoat should results turn into losses.
