Overview
Domestically both clubs come into this game with a lot of confidence. Although both drawing in their league games at the weekend, both sides shown they are capable of competing and being successful in this competition. A 1-1 draw against the European giants Real Madrid for Sevilla. While Arsenal came from two goals down to take a point from rivals Chelsea.
At home in this competition doesn’t sit well for Sevilla though, winning just 4 of their last 14 champions league home ties. It’s not much better for Arsenal on the road in Europe winning just 3 of their last 17.
Champions League Stats
Sevilla having two draws from their first two games in the UCL this season while Arsenal have one win and one loss. Interestingly both sides have found the net in both of those games which makes this market very tasty this evening.
From the opening two games both sides have averaged over 2.5 goals with both teams conceding on average a goal per game.
What do the stats say?
7 of Sevilla’s last 9 home games has seen under 3.5 goals, while Arsenal on the road has seen under the same amount of goals in 5 of the last 7. Today’s game looks a cagey encounter with both sides scared of walking away without 3 points. This market looks interesting as I can see both sides finding the net but I don’t think we will see a goal fest – too much at stake for that.
4 of Sevilla’s last 5 games has seen both sides find the net including the last 3 games. Compare this to Arsenal who have failed to keep a clean sheet in 3 of the last 6.
In the last 4 games Sevilla have received 15 yellow cards. Compared to Arsenal’s 9 in the same amount of games. If Arsenal get control of the game, Sevilla have plenty of players that will find their way into the referees book.
Players to Watch
Bukayo Saka has 3 goal contributions in Arsenal’s two UCL games while he has 7 in 8 games domestically. Between Saka and Jesus, they will be the most likely scorers for me in this game tonight.
Youseff En Nesyri has scored once in the Champions League so far and 3 in the league so far. He will lead the line for Sevilla tonight and I fully expect to see him at least testing Arsenal’s goalkeeper.
My SBK Tips:
Both Teams to Score – 5/6
Bukayo Saka SoT – 12/25
Youseff En Nesyri SoT – 8/15
Sevilla Most Cards – 3/4
Under 3.5 Goals – 4/11
