Finally the EPL season is back underway under the lights at Selhurst Park. It will be all too familiar to Arteta’s side as Arsenal where also involved in the first game of the season against newly promoted Brentford and they quite simply had a night to forget. Arsenal’s season got better as it progressed and it ended rather bittersweet with the Gunners missing out on a Champions League Place to bitter rivals Spurs. Arsenal are of course favourites for this game but they will know that they lost 3-0 at this ground in the beginning of April and it was under a very hostile atmosphere. This was the start of a big losing streak for Arteta’s men which ultimately was the catalyst for their champions league downfall.
Palace were are defensively strong team under former Gunner Vieira and they conceded fewer goals than every other team in the league except for City and Liverpool. I think this will be a low scoring game and I’m going for an Arsenal victory of 0-1
