Chelsea vs Tottenham
Both teams could do with the points, with 4th spot slipping away from Spurs while a late surge for a Europa Conference League spot could be up for grabs for Chelsea. This fixture has seen some great games and I expect tonight to be much of the same. Spurs haven’t won at the bridge for 6 years, but have netted in 4 of their last 7 visits. Chelsea come into this one unbeaten in their last 7 home games, 6 of them wins. Both sides have leaked goals recently with a 2.0+ average for both sides within the last 5. But Chelsea are the more impressive infront of goal netting 14 compared to Tottenham’s 8.
Roma vs Bayer Leverkusen
Two sides who will feel they have enough to reach the final of this competition. Leverkusen of course have been sensational this season, still to beat in all competitions! But they do leak goals on the road, conceding in 4 of their last 5 away games. Roma aren’t any better with all of their last 4 games seeing both sides score and over 2.5 goals. I think Leverkusen will progress over the two legs but tonight will be a test for both sides.
Marseille vs Atalanta
The second semi also sees two sides who love to score and concede. 5 of Marseille’s last 6 has seen both sides score and over 2.5 goals. Atalanta have always been known to me for their aggressive high scoring style of play, which shows as they have netted in 6 of their last 7 away games. Only the top 2 sides in Italy have scored more than Atalanta domestically this season.
Aston Villa vs Olympiacos
Aston Villa continue their impressive season with an opportunity at home in the first leg. A side that has scored 73 goals domestically this campaign giving them a 2.08 goal average per game! But in recent games they have looked shaky defensively, with no clean sheet in their last 4 at home. Olympiacos are no push overs, scoring in 7 of their last 8 away games losing just once. They’ve been more impressive than Villa in front of goal, with an average of 2.24 goals per game this season. I think Villa will show their quality tonight but Olympiacos could easily spoil the night if the home side don’t take their chances.
Fiorentina vs Club Brugge
Fiorentina domestically have been great at home, averaging just under 2.0 goals per game. Losing just once in their last 9 in front of a home crowd. Brugge have picked up at the right time though winning all of their last 3 away ties but before that they had only won one on the road in  7 games! I fully expect Fiorentina to find the net tonight as they have only failed to do so once in their last 17 home ties!
