Arsenal vs Bournemouth

The highest scorers host a Bournemouth side who have the joint 3rd worst defence outside the bottom three! Scoring 13 in their last 5 Arsenal have shown they are title contenders. Bournemouth on the road have leaked 2.0 goals per game! Arsenal look a fast start scoring in the first half in 5 of their last 6 Premier League games. I expect Arsenal to put a few past Bournemouth today.

Brentford vs Fulham

Brentford have hit a great run of form at an important time, scoring 10 goals in the last 5, compared to Fulham who average a goal per game. Brentford have leaked goals at home a total of 30 in 17 league games. Brentford have conceded in 3 of the last 4, while Fulham have scored in 13 of their last 14 games! I’d be surprised if we didn’t see both sides score in this one.

Burnley vs Newcastle

Both sides need to a win for different reasons. A win for Burnley could see them move out of the relegation zone and a win for Newcastle could see them move into 6th! Newcastle have been quite impressive infront of goal, with only the top 3 scoring more. With an average of 2.2 goals in the last 5, I think they will be the much stronger team today. Burnley have conceded 37 goals in 17 home games this season.

Sheffield United vs Nottingham Forest

With Sheffield United already relegated, it’s Forest who have to win, with Luton picking up a point last night, its only goal difference that is keeping Forest out of the relegation zone. Sheffield United haven’t won a game since mid February, and have conceded at least 2 goals per home game in each of the last 9! It will be small margins but I feel Forest should edge it.

Manchester City vs Wolves

I feel this one could be a cricket score, with wolves having nothing to play for and City hitting that end of season goal scoring form once again, I think city will win comfortably in both halves. With a 3.8 goal average in their last 5 games, city come into this having collected 41 points from their 17 home games. Man City have won both halves 3 of the last 5 ties played at the Etihad.

Ipswich vs Huddersfield

With Huddersfield all but relegated, it’s Ipswich who can get that 2nd place with a point. But at home Ipswich have scored 57 times giving them an average of 2.59 goals per game. They have scored a minimum of 2 goals in 5 of the last 7 at home. Huddersfield have only one won away game in 2024!

Plymouth vs Hull

Hull have to win, it’s that simple. They boast the joint 3rd best away record in the league and have only lost once on the road in the last 9 winning 6. They have averaged 2.2 goals in the last 5 compared to a Plymouth side who have only netted 3 times. Hull have scored 3 goals in 3 of the last 4 games.

West Brom vs Preston

With Hull breathing down Albion’s neck for the last play off stop, the Baggies have to win. They face a decent Preston side who have nothing left to play for. Neither side have been in great form of late, but at home is where West Brom have been successful. Scoring 35 times and collecting 46 points from 22 games at the hawthorns. West Brom we 4-0 winners in the reversed fixture, there has been over 2.5 goals in  4 of West Brom’s last 6. While Preston have lost all of their last 4 matches conceding 7 in the last 3.
