Portugal are a side I’ve been looking forward to watching all tournament, they have been so impressive through qualifying, scoring 36 goals in 10 qualifying matches, conceding just 2 times! An unbelievable return. They’ve scored in 13 of their last 14 matches, 10 of which have seen them score in both halves. 3 of their last 5 matches has seen a minimum of 3 goals per match for Portugal! Czech Republic had a decent qualifying campaign, finishing 2nd in their group, but scored just 12 goals in 8 matches conceding 6. Not a great return for such a weak group. Although they have won their 4 friendlies coming into the tournament, they’ve failed to keep a clean sheet and they’ve only managed to keep 2 in their last 11 matches. Portugal have won the last 4 meetings between these two including a 4-0 win in 2022! You’ve got to go back 4 meetings and to 2008 to see the last time Portugal conceded to the Czech Republic!
