It’s a West Midlands derby at Villa Park tonight with Unai Emery’s side looking to build on their impressive 2-0 win away to Tottenham on New Years Day. As for Wolves, an impressive last minute win against Everton on Boxing Day was followed by a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Manchester United.
Aston Villa have only lost one game out of 4 (W3) under new manager Emery. Villa have picked up 9 points from their last 5 with Wolves picking up only 4 leaving them in 19th in the league.
The last two games have seen both sides find the back of the net and in previous years it’s been Wolves who have been the more successful side in this fixture. But Aston Villa are starting to look a lot more organised under Emery and I think with a packed out Villa Park, the home side will win this one.
