Group F has been lacking goals so far, with Belgium the only side to find the back of the net so far. It felt like a bit of a lack lustre performance from Belgium with Canada having 21 shots on Courtois goal, including a missed Alphonso Davies penalty that was saved by the giant Madrid goalkeeper.
As for Morocco it was a very bland performance against Croatia, that saw Morocco have only 35% possession testing Croatia’s goal only twice!
Morocco have the opportunity to cause Belgium some damage, especially down the right-hand side (through Ziyech and Hakimi) with their pace. Something that Belgium lack at times with the average age being 30 years old or more.
Although, regardless of age, the quality Belgium have across all positions in the pitch, is frightening and with the ‘golden generation’ reaching the penultimate stages of their career, this could be their last opportunity of success! Some added motivation perhaps?
I do believe Belgium have more than enough to get this over the line, but they cannot underestimate the quality Morocco have on the break.
