Brazil vs Serbia 19:00

Day 5 of the Qatar World Cup and we finally get to see the favourites of the tournament in Brazil. With the quality of player, they have at their disposal it’s hard to disagree with the bookies.

Brazil come up against a Serbia side that are unbeaten in 6 games in the lead up to Qatar (W5, 1D) but only managed 2 clean sheets. As for the tournament favourites, they haven’t tasted defeat since the Copa America final defeat to Argentina back in July 2021. It’s a 15-game unbeaten run that sets them up perfectly to continue that run throughout the tournament.

Neymar has hinted this could be his last tournament for his country, so no better way to bow out of his international career than winning his countries 6th World Cup.

Serbia, who have a lot of talent of their own will look to fight for 2nd spot with Switzerland, and with a strike partnership of Aleksandar Mitrovic (who has been in great form for his club Fulham, since their return to the Premier League) and Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic who has 6 goals in 10 games for his club. Mitrovic has scored 6 goals in 5 UEFA Nations League games this year for Serbia, will look to showcase himself against the best on Thursday evening.

It’s difficult to look past a Brazil victory but it would be silly to disregard Serbia’s attacking threat – so don’t be surprised if you see them on the scoresheet come the full-time whistle.

Score Prediction: 3-1

Bet Prediction: Brazil -1 Goal Handicap – 6/5
