Brentford host Liverpool on Monday evening in a clash that could see Brentford go 6 games unbeaten, after already setting a club record of 5 games (2W, 3D) after their 2-0 win at West Ham.
Liverpool are starting to pick up their form they’ve shown over the last few seasons, collecting 12 points from a possible 15 in their last 5 games – winning their last 4 in a row.
This fixture last season ended in a 3-3 thriller! Although the reverse fixture was a simple 3-0 victory for Liverpool. It shows that Brentford’s home form is where they seem to collect their points collecting 13 of their 23 on home soil this season.
They have already shown that they can beat the top 6 with their impressive victory against Manchester City before the World Cup and the form that forward Ivan Toney is showing (12G, 3A) they will be more than confident they can beat anyone.
Personally, I feel Liverpool will have too much for Brentford and it will be interesting to see if new player Cody Gakpo is able to feature for the away side.
