IT DOES NOT GET EASIER THAN THAT.

Everton vs Nottingham Forest

Both sides in desperate need of a win. Just one place and one point seperate these two sides who are just above the drop! A win is a must for both sides if they want to retain their place in the top division. Which is why I expect both sides to find the score sheet. Although Everton have only won one in their last 5 at home, they have scored in all of their last 6 at home, 4 of which has seen both sides score and 3 has seen both sides score and over 2.5 goals. Forest have failed to win any of their last 7 games away from from home, but have managed to score in 5 of those!

Aston Villa vs Bournemouth

Villa are on cloud nine, a terrific win away at Arsenal last weekend and then a penalty shoutout victory in the week to secure their place in the semi final of the Europa conference league! The fact Spurs don’t play until next Sunday means they could create a 6 point gap! A huge incentive to pick up 3 points today. It’s not going to be a straight forward task today though, Bournemouth have averaged 2.0 goal per game in their last 5 collecting 10 points from a possible 15. Villa have only lost once in their last 6 home games, in 4 of those they have conceded. Bournemouth have only collected one win in 5 away ties but have scored in all of their last 12 away games! I expect Villa to collect all 3 points in this one, but I’ll be surprised if they keep Bournemouth out.

Crystal Palace vs West Ham

There’s always goals when these two meet at Selhurst Park, you’ve got to go back to 2017 to find a game that didn’t see both sides find the net. All 6 ties at Selhurst Park since then has seen both sides score, with 5 of those seeing a minimum of over 2.5! Palace have scored in all 5 of their recent home fixtures, while West Ham have won 2 of their last 3 away games, netting in all 3. But in all competitions that’s their only 2 wins in the last 8.

Fulham vs Liverpool

Liverpool have to win this game. A disastrous week has seen them slip to 3rd and out of the Europa league. A win will put them joint top once again with City playing in the FA Cup. But an away trip to Fulham could be a tricky one.  Both sides have been in similar form in the last 5, Fulham have scored 9 but conceded 7. Fulham have won 3 of their last 5 at home, while Liverpool have won 5 of their last 7 away games. Fulham haven’t been Liverpool at Craven Cottage since 2011! 6 games have taken place since, although the last 3 have ended in a draw. All of those games has seen both sides score, so I expect more of the same today with Liverpool just to edge it.

Real Madrid vs Barcelona

We had to include the El Classico in this one. The top 2 sides in La Liga clash at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium with a win for Madrid will extend their lead at the top to 11 points!  Both sides are unbeaten in the last 5, collecting 13 points. Barcelona have been great defensively, keeping 5 clean sheets. But Madrid have averaged 2.6 goals in that timeframe, so I can’t see Barca keeping them out today. Barcelona have scored in all of their last 8 trips to the Bernabéu and I expect them to do the same today. Madrid have scored in all of their last 16 home games, 12 of those has seen at least 2 Madrid goals.
